We are now a home-loan owner!!

haaaayyy....finally...after months of waiting...we have been informed today that our home loan is finally approved!!but not really jumping and kicking my feet in the air as interest rates are going up now..thanks to the economy picking up after that global recession...I guess it's a good thing..they said Christmas is cheaper this year! yey! Anyway, we're are waiting for the documents to be signed..then that is it..we will be an official home loan owner!! jeez..I never thought it will happen.....Don't want to think about monthly payments... jsut want to think about what colours to choose...what bricks to lay on the driveway... :) We will be spending the coming weekends choosing and finalizing wall colours, bricks and pavers..... I never looked at houses the way I look at them now..I never noticed the gutters and fascia...their fencing and plants...But now, i stare at them, checking some ideas for our house....It's so exciting!!! i'll put a link to our house design you can see how it looks like...I really like this design...we were choosing between a Clarendon house or Eden brae. Eden brae is much better as they have packages available..it will save you worrying about things like carpet and tiles....Well the choice is limited and usually what's available are very basic..nice ones are upgrades..But it's ok...What's more important is that we got approved and we will have a house soon...Start date is march and it is a 22 week build...so i guess we will be spending our xmas next year in our new house! yey!! Ok, this is my first blog...and I don't want to bore people reading this....I wish to meet people who is new to this building thing...those building with Eden brae esp.those building a Saville...and anyone who could help me in this path we chose...they said it's a headache..but you won't achieve anything if you don;t take the risk...I'll just hope that this will be a fun and exciting experience!! :)

  1. I am also building a Saville 21, at George's Fair. Where are you building at?
Talk to your CSR about the closeness of the toilet and the vanity in the ensuite, the cupboard doors are not able to fully open.
Do you have the double sinks in the ensuite, or did you sign on after they changed it to the single bowl?

  2. Hi kenny,

Sorry i have not checked my blog since oct! it has been very slow for us esp we've been thru the holiday period...but good news is we've got all docs approved now..just waiting on the final plans from EBH..... Anyway, we are building at Stanhope Gardens.... I have not really noticed about that cupboard door in the ensuite... might check with her tomorrow.. but could be too late now as final plans are being prepared... yes, we do have double sinks in the ensuite and that's what we signed in the contract...is your jsut a single sink? we've extended the length of the vanity though because having double sink would be too tight in space...it's good to know someone else is building a saville 21! :) what stage are you now?
